CASE STUDY

• Princes has been an RDFL account for over 15 years, and in that time RDFL have had to constantly review their operation as Princes' customers’ demands have changed.

• RDFL control all logistics services from the end of the production line to the final delivery to the Princes customer.

• RDFL operate a 24-hour warehousing and vehicle operation matched to the levels of production.

• The 24-hour transport operation includes supply of raw materials to the production plant, as well as end of line collection to storage.

• RDFL store over 6000 pallets of mixed products for Princes. Warehousing and storage services include fully computerised stock control on Princes' own warehouse management system, rotation, temperature control and full on-line management reporting.

• Development and implementation of lean enterprise thinking, in consultation with Tesco’s, resulting in the distribution of the new 'Dolly' packaging system to major Tesco R.D.C's.
