The Value Healthcare Group, specialists in providing mobility equipment to those in need of daily living aids, recently contracted their deliveries to Rhys Davies the national haulage, transport and freight logistics network, after the company offered them a tailor-made solution. Joanne Stewart, Office Manager of The Value Healthcare Group said that what Rhys Davies offered allowed them to provide a better service for their customers. “We wanted to be able to guarantee next day delivery on all of our orders. This just isn’t possible when you are using transport companies on an ad hoc basis.”

 

Rhys Davies’ vehicles collect products from The Value Healthcare Group daily and deliver up to 50 units a week to customers across the country.  Mark Richmond Managing Director of Rhys Davies said, “When you are delivering products that are worth several thousands of pounds it is essential that you use the right equipment. All of our vehicles have tail lifts which make it easier to load the lorries in a safe and steady way.”

 

Trusting the delivery of your equipment to an external contractor is a big leap of faith. Not only are you putting your products in their hands and trusting them to deliver them in one piece, you are also allowing them to represent your business to your customers.

 

Joanne said, “A lot of our orders are made over the phone and so delivery is often the first person-to-person contact our clients have. It is essential to us that this contact is fuss-free and as pleasurable as possible for our customers.”

 

Mark said that with the kind of products The Value Healthcare Group provide Rhys Davies staff are often delivering to the elderly or infirm. “You have to be considerate of the customer in situations like this. You can’t just dump the product at the end of the driveway and expect them to find a way of getting it into the house. You have to deliver the product to a sensible place.”

 

Rhys Davies’ attention to detail such as this does not go unnoticed by The Value Healthcare Group’s customers. Joanne said, “We always get great post-delivery feedback. Our products are always delivered on time but one thing customers do comment on is the friendliness and helpfulness of their staff. That’s really important to us because Rhys Davies are representing the company when they deliver our goods.”
